Emerging technology such as VR, Blockchain, FinTech, BioTech, GreenTech, etc, is changing realities forever. As a SIXR (501(c)3 nonprofit) co-founders, Diana and I strive to bring emerging technology innovation and education to underrepresented. While Hollywood or Silicon Valley pathways are often not minorities or women friendly, being pioneers in emerging technology like this, IOT, Telepresence Robots, Neurolink, if you think about it, has the potential to change the landscape of Diversity Equity Inclusion (DEI). Imagine that you’re not invited to a party, what would you do? If you asked me, I suggest that you create your own party and invite everybody else in. This session is your chance to be the party planner by finding your own Ikigai (生き甲斐, “Purpose”), which is a Japanese concept that means “a reason for being.” Like it or not, it is a daily endeavor to figure out how you can be part of this Neuvo Renaissance age where you get to express yourselves freely and get paid also. This is a call to action to find your true passion in tech where you can be the pioneer who open the opportunities for your peers. As part of the offering, you’ll be given a chance to discover your Ikigai through filmmaking and storytelling. SIXR will provide tools and an opportunity to form your own social impact movement with SIXR’s support. This is your opportunity to find your passion, and it’s up to you whether you want turn it into your mission vocation and profession. The course of true love never did run smooth. ~ William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night’s Dream
