Originally from Costa Rica, I have had the opportunity to live in different countries and learn from a very young age what diversity and inclusion means. As a bilingual (Spanish-English) professional, with formal education in Software Engineering and Instructional Technology, I am passionate about education, technology, and automation as all of these factors lead to innovation. With a heavy emphasis on customer experience, accessibility, and human-centric solutions, I deliver solutions that meet and exceed expectations.
My core values come from my experience as an immigrant and my servant leadership style. I was born in Costa Rica, grew up in Guatemala, Au Pair for a year in Paris, France, lived and worked in Germany and pursued graduate studies in the USA. Through all my life, I have been having to reinvent myself and adapt to a new culture, language, and society. I have learned that a good leader always needs to lead with grace, inclusiveness, and respect.
I believe in giving back to the community and helping others to build community. During my free time, you can find me supporting my family, providing networking opportunities to women, volunteering at the local school, church, or just helping the Amigas and Vecinas (Friends and Neighbors) Community Women group.
I live with my husband and wonderful three kids in the Sammamish Plateau area in Washington State.
