I’ve worked in technology since 1998 when I started my career at Microsoft. I was a Program Manager in many capacities on several high profile teams; I lived through the anti-trust lawsuits, saw the first launch of Internet Explorer and published the first stories as 9/11 was unfolding on MSN.com as their Content Operations Program Manager. I left the industry and MSFT for the last time in spring of 2017 after attending the Women’s March in DC. After spending an entire career in a male dominated industry, I decided to pivot to provide a platform where women’s voices, and only women’s voices, would be heard. I launched the Electorette podcast last fall and it has since consistently been in the top podcasts on iTunes, was chosen as one of their “Bold Women in Podcasts” feature and has received nearly 400k downloads. The podcast features authors, academics, scientists, activists and politicians, all women, discussing politics and social justice issues.
